Affiliate Scholars haben einen Status als Gastwissenschaftlerinnen und Gastwissenschaftler am RIFS und kollaborieren mit einzelnen Gruppen oder Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern. Die Kooperation beruht auf freiwilligen Beiträgen und wird nicht vergütet.

Affiliate Scholars haben weder ein Beschäftigungsverhältnis mit dem RIFS/GFZ noch besteht eine institutionelle Kooperationsbeziehung zum Institut oder GFZ.
